The Inclusive Information Systems Lab (IIS Lab)
The IIS Lab is dedicated to advancing research at the intersection of information systems, social media analytics, and accessibility. We investigate how misinformation spreads across online platforms and develop innovative solutions to mitigate its impact, especially for vulnerable populations such as older adults and neurodiverse individuals. Our research combines data science, human-computer interaction, and inclusive design principles to create technology that empowers all users to access, understand, and trust online information.
Our lab fosters a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where graduate and undergraduate students work on projects ranging from hate speech detection, misinformation propagation, to developing assistive technologies that enhance digital accessibility and inclusion. We are committed to translating our research into real-world applications that promote equity, accessibility, and social good.
